"Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey announced on Monday that his office and developer Walnut Capital have reached an agreement on the Oakland Crossings project.

The agreement more clearly defines the zoning and includes a section on public benefits that covers affordable housing and food access.

It also creates 250 union construction jobs, with Gainey saying: “This agreement is the first time a private developer has committed to using the Housing Authority Choice Voucher Program to reach inclusionary zoning requirements in Pittsburgh’s history.”"
