There’s plenty of fun events happening around Pittsburgh this July! Whether you want to grab a drink, get your grub on, listen to live music, or do something active, there’s something for everyone. So mark your calendars and make sure to stop by these events happening near you:
Sunday, July 1 | 1:00PM
Head to Strange Roots Experimental Ales on the first Sunday of every month this summer for a one of a kind tacollaboration between Strange Roots and some of the city’s best food trucks. You’ll get a chance to sample classic options from traditional taco trucks, as well as innovative takes on the genre from some unexpected food truck heavyweights. We’re talkin’ Po-Boy tacos, we’re talkin’ Mac & Gold tacos, we’re talkin’… well, take a look at the line up and let your imagination run wild!

The first Thursday of every month, June through September there will be “pay what you want” yoga at Bay 41! This month the class will be taught by Inhale Pittsburgh! Come on down and get a good sweat in at Bay 41! All classes are open to all levels of students and are offered on a “pay what you want” basis. Cash donations only. No cards accepted.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership presents the Saturday Night Market – featuring some of Pittsburgh’s most creative independent vendors. Join us every Saturday from May 12 through October 27 for a night of live music under the Pittsburgh City Paper Stage, along with artisan goods, games, food, and more.

Head to Bakery Square every Saturday this summer to listen to some live music while you shop! Social at Bakery Square will also be offering up drink specials: half priced mimosas, cranmosas and appleosas, and $3 Blue Moon drafts! This is a dog friendly event, so make sure to bring your pup and order them something off the dog menu.
Friday, July 13 – Saturday, July 14
The 6th Annual Deutschtown Music Festival will take place on Pittsburgh’s Northside on Friday and Saturday, July 13th and 14th. With over 300 bands, 11 outdoor stages, and 26 indoor venues, the festival has a little bit of something for everybody. A beer garden will exist in a closed-off portion of the city-owned parking lot next to the main stage. Family-friendly programming is featured during the daytime, with over 30 food trucks, children’s activities, an artists’ market, and other activities to supplement the music.

Enjoy FREE activities at Station Square Family FunFest and entertainment on the third Sunday of each month. The events will take place in the Freight House Shops at Station Square. Grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant and enjoy a Sunday filled with fun at Family FunFest!
Thursday, July 19 | 7:00-9:30PM
Take a tour through the Best of the ‘Burgh, sampling and experiencing along the way. Get your hair done by the staff at La Pomponnee. Indulge in a mini makeover at The Gilded Girl Beauty Emporium. Grab an Eat’n Park Smiley Cookie. Dozens of local organizations will be on hand to demonstrate why they are the “Best.” A $35 ticket gets you a lively and memorable night, plus two drink tickets and a Best of the ‘Burgh T-shirt.

You don’t need to leave Pittsburgh to enjoy a day at the beach! We’re bringing the beach to Bakery Square this summer with the Bakery Square Urban Beach party presented by Dollar Bank! Join us for a fun night complete with food trucks, craft beer, live music from The Brighton Boys…and a giant 65 foot sand beach! Break out the leis, Hawaiian shirts, and flip flops for some fun in the sun!

The Roberto Clemente Bridge in Downtown Pittsburgh will transform into Picklesburgh this July, of course highlighted by the giant flying, custom-built Heinz pickle balloon. Picklesburgh is a culinary celebration that goes beyond the dill pickle to include international dishes, prepared foods and artisan cocktails that feature pickled ingredients; an embrace of the farm-to-table movement and the rising popularity of canning; a selection of handcrafted foods and artisan cocktails from local restaurants; informative how-to demos and author talks at our demo area; merchandise such as pickled goods, books and DIY products.

TABLE Magazine and Ace Hotel Pittsburgh present the second annual Western Pennsylvania Lamb Festival on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Ace Hotel. Renowned worldwide for producing America’s best lamb, Western Pennsylvania is also on the map for some of the most remarkable new chef talent in the county. The event is slated to be an all-star cook-off, with 10+ chef teams from Pittsburgh’s most prominent restaurants, as well as guest chefs visiting from award-winning eateries in neighboring states.
