Pittsburgh Restaurant Week Winter 2019

Celebrate the “Most Delicious Time Of Year” as restaurant week returns in January. Restaurants from across Pittsburgh will unite to showcase Pittsburgh as “America’s Top Food City” and offer special menus and items. Mark your calendars and plan to discover or re-discover your favorite restaurants across the Pittsburgh area.

The Pittsburgh Pancakes & Booze Art Show

Saturday, January 19 from 8PM-2AM | Spirit
As the nation’s premier pop-up art show, The Pancakes & Booze Art Show provides art lovers an opportunity to explore more than 350 pieces of artwork created by some 75+ artists local to Pittsburgh’s unparalleled art scene. Alongside an immensely wide variety of pop art, fine art, and photography; show goers can sip on some of the dankest craft beer or signature cocktails while consuming free pancakes over and over again. Tickets are $10 at the door, cash only.

Festive Nights of Winter Lights

Saturday, January 19 from 5-10PM | Phipps Conservatory
To celebrate the success of Holiday Magic: Let It Glow!, Phipps is letting their Winter Light Garden shine for a few more nights of festive wonder. Friday and Saturday evenings through Jan. 26 from 5 – 10 p.m., drop in for a serene stroll among the luminous orbs, trees, towers and fountains of light in their Outdoor and Children’s Discovery Gardens.

Good Wood Barrel-Aged Beer Festival

Saturday, January 19 from 6-9PM | East End Brewing
Join us for the 5th annual Good Wood Barrel-Aged Beer fest at East End Brewing Company on Saturday, January 19 from 6-9 PM! 20 local Pittsburgh-based breweries will be sharing their best barrel-aged brews alongside a tasting of Wigle spirits! The full price $50 ticket gets you a snifter glass for beer sampling (and to take home), barrel-aged beer sampling, and Wigle spirit sampling! Pay-as-you-go food will also be available.

Bloomfield Saturday Market

Penguins on Parade

Saturday, January 19 & Sunday, January 20 | PPG Aquarium
Head to the PPG Aquarium to watch their penguins parade and play outdoors!
This event is weather permitting, as temperatures must be below 45 degrees Fahrenheit and in weather conditions that are safe for the penguins. The penguins could parade anywhere from ten minutes to half an hour, so make sure to arrive before the parade begins to ensure you don’t miss out on the fun. This activity is included with your entry into the Zoo!

Bend, Brews and Brunch

Free Yoga at the Frick Environmental Center

Breathe and stretch during this all-levels, indoor yoga class at the Frick Environmental Center. Free yoga at the Center takes place every third Sunday of the month from 1 – 2PM.
