On April 19th and 20th, Downtown Pittsburgh will flourish with Earth Day activities–including the Pittsburgh Earth Day Food Truck Festival! Located on Smithfield Street across from the Oliver Building, a wide variety of trucks with tasty treats will line up for this exciting event! There is something for everyone–even many vegetarian options. Participating food truck vendors include BRGR – Pittsburgh, Evil Swine BBQ, Fry Master Food Truck, Hoshi Pgh, Oh My Grill, PGH Halal truck, Southside Bbq Company Truck, Sugar and Spice Ice Cream Truck, The Burgh Bites Cart, Bull Dawgs, Cool Beans Taco Truck, Terrene Food Truck, and Wok of Life Pgh.

Pittsburgh Earth Day will Paint the Square Green on April 19th – 20th! Market Square, Pittsburgh will feature a world market with a mix of local vendors specializing in Earth-friendly products and services, along with organic and educational vendors and live music!
Saturday, April 20 | 1-5PM | Market Square
On Saturday, April 20th, during Pittsburgh Earth Day’s Paint the Square Green event, stop by Great Lakes Brewing Company’s tent in Market Square to pick up a Pub Crawl Passport! To complete this unique crawl, participants must go to each of the eight participating bars listed in the passport between 1PM to 5PM, have a beer there (choose from a multitude of Great Lakes beers!), and get their individual passports stamped by the bar staff as proof. Once completed, participants will return to the Great Lakes tent and show their stamped passport. For every five (5) completed passports received, Great Lakes will plant a tree!

As in previous years Friends of the Riverfront will lead a variety of family friendly projects along the South Side & Eliza Furnace trails. REI will provide refreshments and SWAG for all registered participants!
Wednesday, April 24 | 9AM-12PM | Tree Pittsburgh Heritage Nursery
Your help is greatly appreciated at the Tree Nursery where you will be working on tasks such as transplanting seedlings, sowing seeds and maintaining their outdoor grow rows. These seedlings will be grown on and planted in their reforestation projects throughout Allegheny County. Please dress to work outside in any weather and wear long pants and close-toed shoes. They will provide tools, gloves and drinking water in coolers. Please bring your own refillable water bottle. This event is rain or shine.
