DIY With WalCap – Gemstone Soap

What you need:

  • Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base
  • Soap Colorants
  • Essential Oils
  • Gemstone Shaped Mold
  • Knife
  • Microwave Safe Measuring Pitcher
  • Plastic Cups
  • Plastic Fork

  1. Cut the block of Melt & Pour Soap Base into cubes
  2. Place a handful of cubes (I used 6) in a microwave safe measuring pitcher and microwave for intervals of 30 seconds until completely melted
  3. Add a soap colorant of your choice (I used red) and an essential oil of your choice (I used cranberry) and mix thoroughly with a plastic fork or spoon
  4. Let this mixture sit until completely hardened (I let it sit overnight but you can speed up the process by placing it in the fridge for a few hours)
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 using a different colorant and essential oil (I used an orange colorant and strawberry essential oil). You can repeat steps 1-4 as many times as you’d like, using as many colors and essential oils as you’d like depending on the amount of colors/smells you would like to use in your soap
  6. Once your soaps have hardened, remove them from the plastic cups and cut them up into various shapes and sizes
  7. Add pieces of each color soap to the mold and arrange them the way you’d like them to appear in the final soap product
  8. Repeat step 2 using more than 6 cubes (I used as many would fit in my pitcher)
  9. Add an essential oil of your choice (I used peach) and mix thoroughly
  10. Pour your clear soap mixture into each mold and fill to the top
  11. Let your soap sit over night or in the fridge for a few hours
  12. Remove your soaps from the mold and enjoy!
